As a juvenile, this fish features a striking pattern of electric blue, black, and white concentric circles that is frankly unmatched in the hobby. You have to keep in mind that this fish will eventually go through one of the most dramatic color shifts in nature as it matures into its yellow-and-blue striped adult form. These are active, intelligent fish that need a lot of room to roam and plenty of high-quality grazing material. You need to provide a varied diet of spirulina, sponge-based foods, and meaty items like mysis to keep their immune system and colors sharp.
